Personal Reflective Essay: For this assignment, you are asked to
explore ways in which a substance-related issue affected either your
own life or the life of someone important to you. We will discuss and
address issues of anonymity and confidentiality for this assignment.
In your essay, describe the person, the extent of the substance or
medication use, your perceptions of how the drug use affected the
person’s life, and any new understandings. Consider what treatment the
person received, its efficacy, or, if no treatment was obtained,
discuss what treatment you feel might have been useful. APA format is
not required for this essay. The suggested length of the essay should
be 5 pages.
