OVERVIEW
One goal of this assignment is to equip the learner to better help parents navigate raising
teenagers despite the negative pressures of our culture. You will be able to provide parents with
the most important key learnings for the developmental tasks required to survive adolescence.
Dr. Dobson’s book, Preparing for Adolescence, will be the foundation of this PowerPoint
presentation and it must be designed with a parent audience in mind.
INSTRUCTIONS
Create a PowerPoint presentation (a minimum 15 slides)
Use current Turabian format
3 or more scholarly references are required (e.g. peer reviewed articles, books, class
materials)
Sources should be published within the last five years
The content of your presentation will summarize the 3–5 most important lessons you have
learned about raising children in today’s sexually saturated culture. The presentation must use
statistics and trends to build support regarding the problems facing today’s teens and then offer
practical strategies in protecting and raise the next generation toward sexual health.
